Lets all get together, share our thoughts and have a nice glass of wine at Wine Maestro. Our group is 1 yr old and we have had a great time meeting new friends, reading new books, learned about the authors, and just have a nice get together. Join us for our next outing! This is a group for fun people that love new books and aren't afraid to step out of the Oprah Book Club zone (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with her selections!) We can meet up at restaurants, each others' homes, and other fun venues. I think it would be fun if everyone took turns picking the book of the month and leading the conversation. The only requirements are to have an open mind and the desire for stimulating conversations, good fun, and the occasional adult beverage! (last one not an …

“ The books that help you most are those which make you think the most. The hardest way of learning is that of easy reading; but a great book that comes from a great thinker is a ship of thought, deep freighted with truth and beauty.” Theodore Parker (1810 - 1860) We are a collection of women from all walks of life who share a common love for the written word and dialogue. While our focus is on African-American Literature, we are open to reading it all and promise a lively discussion no matt …

Buy your book at Park Road Books and get a 15% discount, they'll have our books behind the counter.
The purpose of the Charlotte Friendship group is for positive, uplifting, and fun people to come together for entertainment, growth, and to build lasting bonds. I have been involved in a handful of meetups, but I never found any meetup that fit my needs as something that could be both fun and inspiring, help others to greatness but not take the meetup too seriously. This meetup is based on adding to lives that are already great. We focus on letting loose (in a grown folks sort of way), uplifting …
