This is a casual and friendly book club that meets monthly at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill. We alternate between fiction and non-fiction selections and choose our books democratically via polls. A book club sponsored by Durham County Library that meets at East Regional Library. We read a variety of fiction and nonfiction. We like true crime, magical realism ,book club favorites, classics. Past books include Devil in the White City, the Soloist, Water for Elephants, Freakanomics, Age of Innocence, and The Book Thief.

I just moved to Cary and I want to start a book club for women interested in reading and sharing a book together. Our first meeting will be at my home on Wed. December 7th at 9:30 am. In conjunction with each performance of the Deep Dish Theater Company, a book is selected that relates to the theme of the play. A conversation about the book is scheduled and the public is invited. It is not necessary to have seen the play to participate; many choose to watch the play after the book discussion. The discussion is free and no prior registration is required.
