Founded in late 2009 by Johnny the Nomad, we've been meeting ever since to discuss books, with thirty under our belt at the beginning of 2013. We take an informal format, try to be more welcoming and inclusive to newcomers than many private book clubs, and make sure we occasionally talk about the book in between having fun. This is a non-fiction reading and exploration group. Let's read and discuss the best of history, biography, science, art, culture, politics, commentary, travel, and anything else that touches the real world. When we're not reading, we'll look for movies, museums, road trips, walks, and other ways to connect with or be inspired by what we read. Members take turns choosing our books and organizing outings.

Our little book club is hoping to grow.  We meet monthly to chat, laugh, discuss books and laugh some more. The people in our group range in age from 25 - 35, and we're a pretty diverse bunch. We read mostly fiction, and we take turns choosing the books.  The person who chooses the book for the month also hosts the next book club meeting. Come to the library at 6 PM on the first Monday of every month and talk about the genre of that evening. Bring a book to use as an example, or just have a book, movie, or even game in mind to talk about. This year long series of informal discussions, moderated by library staff, will lead you to new reading experiences as you learn about hot subgenres.
