We're a book discussion group for people in their 20s and 30s. We meet the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at Bartlett Public Library in Bartlett, IL. The discussion is led by one of our Adult & Teen Services Librarians. The books are available one month prior to each discussion at the reference desk.

I love to read and would love to belong to a book club. I live in Hyde Park and would like to form a group with people that live in the same general area. We could get together once a month (or every other month) to discuss a chosen book and enjoy each other's company. We've had a modernist fiction book club going since May 2011, with a lot of good discussions, and could use a couple more regulars. In the past, we've read novels by Joyce, Malraux, Kafka, Wright, Mishima, Faulkner, Nabokov, Unamuno, Ellison, Hamsun, Woolf, Biely, and Gide.

I'm a 30-something guy who likes to read mostly nonfiction. If you're a nonfiction reader like me this is for you! I like history, science, sports, true crime and travel narratives, but am willing to be flexible.
