I've lived in Palm Harbor for 2 years and noticed that there is not a book club. I missed the group I had up north so I decided to start my own. This group is designed to be social as well as to discuss books. Book selection will occur at the end of our gatherings and anyone can suggest a title. That way, we all get experience great books that we otherwise may have overlooked. Join this group if you love to read and also would like to meet more people who share common interests.

This group is designed for people, 30ish-50ish, who want to find two things: their next great read and just maybe, their next great love. Or just a date! Too many book club picks are geared towards the fairer sex only, so we will pick books that are of interest to both the sexes - every time! Then we will meet every other month, on the first Wednesday, for a drink or dinner, and to discuss our latest book. So join me! Any single who likes to read is welcome! It could be fun...

This is a Book Club in Clearwater that is open to anyone, so any bookworms, book lovers and people who love to read are welcome to join. This is not limited to any age, race, sex or religion, etc. I put a $2 fee for each meeting only because it costs me $15 a month to have the group on Meetup and I just want to have that covered. If 15 people show up, it will only be $1 a person.
To All Tampa/St Pete/Sarasota Film Radicals: The Tampa Bay Area really needs a film discussion group that has a little more meatiness than showing up for the popular films and talking about whatever afterward. For those around here that aspire to see the better films and have been hoping for some place to focus your love of quality cinema, this group will hopefully be your thing. Originally dreamed up by me hanging in the art film Mecca of Sarasota, I think we will have more interest if we spre …

You love to read and watch movies and you're partial to a literary themed feast? Why not combine your passion for all three with the Novel Noshes Club? Gather with new friends — in a library, at home, in a café — to discuss pre-selected books and films while enjoying delectable literary-themed treats. Each book and film date will pair refreshments with the theme or setting of the book we are reading or watching. From tea with Jane Austen to waffles and syrup with Harper Lee.
This book club is for people who rushed through those required novels while in school and want to read them again with genuine interest this time. Rich adult-life experiences are sure to alter the way we relate and interpret these timeless tales. As a new group I am open to preferred dates to meet, I have a community room in my condo building that can be reserved for our meetings. I can provide snacks and we can each bring our beverage of choice.
A group for anyone who enjoys reading, swapping books, and are a Bookcrossing member. Not a Bookcrossing member? Feel free to join us at a meetup and see what it's all about. You are not required to join or be a member of Bookcrossing or to swap books to join us. All avid readers are welcome.
Many teens and young adults are challenged (aka required) to read "the classics" in high school or college literature courses. Yet others either didn't have those courses, never took those electives or just flat out "didn't want" to read these books at that point in their lives. As we grow older and (hopefully) wiser, we now begin to ask did we miss something? Or if you did read the classics, is there something more now that I'm at a different life stage? Are you an avid reader who likes …
