What's special about this book club? We meet in the Midtown area. We are a diverse group of people. If I had to generalize in any way, I think a majority of the attendees are professionals in their 30s, but that is not at all a required demographic; just how it seems to have been turning out. There are just a few of us who come to almost every meeting, otherwise the attendees at each meeting varies a bit. All that is required is an open mind, and a sense of humor always helps. I want to be sure …

The Midtown Booze & Book Club is the book club "for the rest of us". We aim to be a diverse group of readers who gather together for libations and lively discussion. We want to read books which are clever and sometimes funny. Everything from Bukowski to Burroughs (William AND Augusten), from Roach to Reichl, from Nin to well, Miller. Exploring new and old, off the beaten path books, not always your "award winning" reads. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month (and sometimes more, if we feel …

The Joseph Campbell® Foundation's (JCF) Mythological RoundTable® (MRT) groups are gatherings of people drawn together by a deep and abiding interest in all things mythological. Much like the Round Table of yore, it is a place where individual and community come together -- a place to play, plan, create, partake in ritual, and share tales of one's own quest with companions well met. But the Mythological RoundTable® groups do more than just enrich the individual; they also offer the opportunity to …
This is a book club for woman who love to read a wide range of books. Each month we will read a book selected by our members. We we will be meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each month at a coffee shop in Midtown, but this can change as we get to know each other and grow more comfortable, possibly even sharing our homes with each other. I would like this group to develop into a group that meets to discuss the books we are reading while having fun and socializing. We don't have to have a super seriou …

This group has been a god-sent during the hardest breakup of my life and for that I am forever grateful. However, I am at a better place now and would like to find someone to take over this site; a site that is still needed by many. If anyone is interested please send me an email and we can talk. I am no longer hosting any more meetups but the discussion boards are still active and quite interesting and helpful for new members.

I am running a Dark Ages Modern Nights Larp game. It has a strong political structure thanks to the work my co-st, my self, and the players have done to make it so. There are slight changes in the game from what the book says happend, like for instance, Tremere are still a bloodline failing to eaten salout, the Giovanni have also failed in their attempts to dominate the cappadotions. most Dark Ages clans are allowed, but need to be discussed, and others need a background.

This groups is dedicated to learning about the disparities women and girls face both globally and nationally. By educating ourselves about issues such as sex trafficking, rape, and gender based violence we can raise awareness in our communities and make a difference internationally. We will watch films, read books/articles, have guest speakers and come up with ideas for raising donations for groups that need support.
Get together and discuss in great details movies from past to present. All genres think of your weekly book club but instead of books we discuss movies.
