We decided to combine two of our favorite activities--reading books and watching documentaries--to form a new fun book club for women in their mid 20s and 30s. Each month we will read a book and meet at a restaurant related to the setting of the book to discuss. Within the month, we will also watch a documentary related to some aspect of the book (e.g. culture, country, religion, etc.). We are excited to get this group started and to meet lots of fun new people!! A few ground rules for our gr …

You'll read a different book every month, from a long ago lost "Classic" to the "It" book flying off the shelves (and everything in between). We are active in the community, making book donations to the local Libraries, giving money to charities. We also may have a meeting once a month between our traditional meetings just to catch …
This group was created to bring together individuals who read books for substance and ideas. This group is open to artists, musicians, scientists, engineers, and anyone who likes to examine and exchange ideas, respect others' opinions, and is open to learning something from others. We find we get together to discuss what might otherwise be serious topics, but we end up laughing a lot, because it's such a joy to express ourselves and share our ideas...and go off topic now and then. We currently h …

Are you looking for a “fun read” that engages the mind and provides entertainment? Cozy Mysteries are usually fast paced, easy reads, that are often in a themed series (e.g. The Coffee House Mysteries, The Tea Shop Mysteries, etc.). This group will meet once a month and discuss a monthly cozy mystery at a coffee shop, a tea house, a member's home, or any other location decided by the group to be appropriate to the book we are reading. I would love to gather with other adult women book lovers and expand our comfort zone in our reading selection. I think in order to find common ground - ideal age would be between 30-60 years. This group will meet once a month and have a different genre of literature to read from and rate when we meet. Book selection is open for suggestion.

Fellow Inland Empire Area Lesbians: Let's get together and discuss a book of our choice while having some social time over a glass of wine or soda and munchies. Our target member is in the over 40 age group, though all members of the lesbian community are welcome.
I started this group because I love to read fiction, and to talk about it with others. This is a group for people who feel the same way about books to get together over coffee and eggs (or whatever), talk about books, and make new friends!
This meetup was started with the intention to foster friendship and social time among women. Both creativity and pet time are of immense importance in my life, and I’m hoping to attract women to this group who feel the same way. It’s always challenging to balance work, life, personal interests, the well-being of our pets, and a social world on top of it all, so this is just one way to simplify some elements of our hectic lives. This meetup is super democratic, and will likely evolve with time …
… And while we're on the move, if you've read or listened to a good book lately, watched a great film or been floored by a current event; share it! Let's make a choice to inspire and be inspired!

We are a diverse group of race, age, and gender who have one come together for one common interest - books. Yet in exploring the stories or history together, we discover we have so much more in common as well. We don't follow one genre or one author but try to find new areas to branch into each month. We also don't break the stories …
