A book discussion group for young professionals focused on remaining well read held the first Monday of every month at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library!
Boys ages 7-13 getting together to discuss various genres of literature, foster a love of books, and encourage each other to try new adventures in reading. It's difficult to find groups of boys willing to say they love reading. Most are hesitant to try chapter books that may be interesting to them. I am a previous homeschooling mom looking for other moms who love childrens books and want to encourage their young men to enjoy reading by discussing their reading together. Plan to meet at local lib …

Love beading and reading? This is the MeetUp for you. Members will bring their beading supplies, and spend time together beading and talking about any books they've enjoyed reading lately. No assigned book to read. Just come prepared to do some beading and talk about a book you've enjoyed reading lately, fact or fiction, or even a great cookbook! Any level of beader or reader is welcome!
What makes our book club different from all of the others? Well, it's because our authors are in attendance to discuss their book and to answer questions. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Our meeting place is Barnes & Noble at Pima and Shea, located in the Fiesta Shopping Center, 10500 N. 90th St., Scottsdale, Arizona.

My husband is balder now, thanks to my love of classic fiction and my inability to keep quiet about it. In an effort to maintain marital peace (and perhaps to keep a few threads of hair attached to his poor head), I decided to start a book discussion group centered on classic novels. The purpose of the group, then, will be to dive into the worlds created by some of history's most famous authors: Steinbeck, Twain, Austin, Dostoevsky, and, of course, Dickens, just to name a few. If you also e …

Want to get intrigued? Let's read notable women writers of mystery, suspense/thriller, and detective/crime fiction, from the classic works of Agatha Christie to the "modern" novels of other well or perhaps lesser known authors. Then let's discuss each book we've read (and whatever else comes up!) during a monthly dinner. You can have a look at a list of the books we've read so far here (http://tinyurl.com/7vcw6eq).
A part of the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society this friendly group of people meets every third Tuesday to discuss a different science fiction selection. Looking to put together a group of like-minded Entrepreneurs to be thought partners and lead to greater successes. My thoughts is that we choose a beneficial book and between the book and our ideas, everyone will learn a little more at each meeting. Thoughts on meetup structure and book choices is welcome!
